About KEVIN RYAN:
An Entrance Exhibitioner to Trinity College, Dublin, Kevin won the Round Hall prize (1st in class) in 2012 and studied for a year at Emory Law school in Atlanta, Georgia, USA. He graduated with a first-class honours law degree from Trinity College, Dublin in 2014. He subsequently trained with one of Ireland’s biggest law firms where he qualified as a solicitor in 2019. In 2021 Kevin was awarded a prize for finishing top of his class on the Law Society of Ireland’s Diploma in Healthcare Law. Kevin also holds a Diploma in Taxation, a Certificate in Credit Management and a Certificate in Technology Law.
Since joining Cian O’Carroll Solicitors, Kevin has worked closely with medical negligence solicitor Paul Kelly, on a range of complex medical negligence cases. These include delayed diagnosis of cancer and cases involving birth injuries with a particular focus on birth related brain trauma causing autism – an emerging and very challenging area of medical negligence litigation.
Kevin previously advised both plaintiff and defendant clients on personal injury and product liability matters, as well as advising on the establishment of certain tribunals and compensation schemes.
Kevin is a former Deputy Editor of the Hibernian Law Journal. Outside of law, he enjoys tennis, swimming and walking.
