ALICE MOORE
B.A., LL.B., SOLICITOR
About ALICE MOORE:
Alice Moore graduated with a Batchelor of Laws degree (LLB) from NUI Galway before qualifying as a solicitor in 2017. She also holds a Diploma in Healthcare Law awarded by the Law Society of Ireland.
Practising exclusively in medical negligence actions in the High Court, Alice has a particular interest in the areas of delayed diagnosis of cancer, surgical negligence, gynaecological injuries and birth related injuries affecting both mothers and babies. She also has experience in fatal injury claims where cases are taken, for example, by a family member on behalf of a deceased loved one where medical negligence has caused death or by the parents of a child who has very sadly suffered a fatal injury during birth.
Since joining the practice in 2018, Alice has successfully concluded a number of high value medical negligence actions. Among these were actions under ‘case management’ and related to the delayed diagnosis of cancer. These cases, which were greatly expedited due to our clients having a very limited life expectancy, were taken from initial instructions to successful completion within a few months.
Alice is experienced in the complex litigation surrounding the CervicalCheck cancer misdiagnosis scandal and in October 2020, she led the successful team that represented Patricia & Damien Carrick in their groundbreaking case against the HSE for a fatal misdiagnosis of cancer within the CervicalCheck programme - the first time that the HSE admitted liability in court for their negligent management of CervicalCheck.
